mimosa Privacy Policy

mimosa doesn't use analytics or advertising SDKs and doesn't send your documents, annotations or recordings to our servers. We don't sell or share your personal data.

Your Leya account

Versions of mimosa that use a Leya account (mimosa on Android first, then every Leya app with its next update) handle your account — username, name, avatar, the agreements you accepted, subscriptions and security checks — as described in the Leya Privacy Notice. Nothing in your account contains your documents or study content.

Your documents and annotations

The PDFs you import and everything you add to them — ink, text, shapes, MimoBooks, MimoBoards, Seeds — are stored on your device. If you turn on sync, they're stored in your own iCloud (on Apple devices) or your own Google Drive (on Android), under your control. We have no access to them.

Scanning and recognition

Scanning, page detection, text recognition and handwriting recognition run on your device. On Android, Scan Document uses Google's document scanner from Google Play services, which processes the camera images on your device; mimosa receives only the pages you keep.

Echo recordings

The microphone is used only while you record with Echo. Recordings are stored with your documents, on your device and in your own sync storage.

Purchases

mimosa Pro is bought through the App Store or Google Play. Apple or Google processes the payment; mimosa never sees your payment details.

Permissions

mimosa asks for the camera (to scan), the microphone (to record with Echo) and notifications (Seeds reminders), each only when you use that feature. Photos and files you pick yourself in the system's own picker; mimosa sees only what you choose.

Children's privacy

mimosa doesn't knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.

Changes to this policy

If this policy changes, the update will be posted on this page with a new date.
