Trellis Privacy Policy

Trellis Privacy Policy

Last updated: 18 October 2026

Trellis doesn't use third-party analytics or advertising SDKs. We don't sell your personal data or share it with data brokers or advertisers. Below is the data Trellis does handle, and why.

Your Leya account

Versions of Trellis that use a Leya account (mimosa on Android first, then every Leya app with its next update) handle your account — username, name, avatar, the agreements you accepted, subscriptions and security checks — as described in the Leya Privacy Notice. Nothing in your account contains your documents or study content.

Your plans and study content

Your goals, tasks, routines, resources and files (PDFs, images), and your conversations with the AI Assistant, are stored on your device. If you turn on iCloud sync, they're stored in your own iCloud account, under your control. We have no access to them.

AI planning (Anthropic)

To answer you and propose changes to your plan, Trellis sends the relevant parts of your project — your goal, resources, attached files and messages — to Anthropic's Claude API through our own server. This content is used only to answer that request; we don't use it to build a profile of you. It is subject to Anthropic's privacy policy.

Installation identifier and AI Credits

Trellis creates a random identifier for your installation (not tied to your name or Apple ID) and, for subscribers, uses Apple's transaction identifier to confirm your plan. Our server uses these only to keep your AI Credits balance and plan limits.

Purchases

Subscriptions and credit packs are bought through the App Store. Apple processes the payment; Trellis never sees your payment details.

The mimosa bridge

If you link a task to a mimosa document, the link and your progress are shared between the two apps on your device only.

Permissions

Trellis asks for your calendar to show your events in your day, next to your tasks; it never changes them. It asks for notifications for reminders. Images and PDFs you attach are picked by you in the system's own picker; Trellis sees only what you choose.

Children's privacy

Trellis doesn't knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. Parents should supervise a child's use of the AI Assistant.
